Mission
Odoma uses digital tools — and progressively AI methods — to help people in Estonia and Europe understand their personal environmental risks and reduce them through informed behaviour. We start with mobility and CO₂; we expand to air quality, energy, consumption, and climate risks.
The statute (§2(2)) defines six concrete aims:
- a) Promote digital literacy and media literacy.
- b) Improve access to information and open data, including reaching minority-language communities.
- c) Promote sustainable mobility and environmental awareness, including CO₂ emission reduction.
- d) Support household budgeting and financial literacy.
- e) Build transparency in construction-project cost control.
- f) Operate public-interest digital services and media (web publications, data portals, training, research).
→ See What we do for an overview of how each aim translates into ongoing or planned projects.
Why we exist
- Public life is confusing — we make it legible.
- Important information gets locked — we make it open.
- Tools get bloated — we ship simple, fast, humane ones.
How we work
- Radical transparency. Open goals; where the money went is set out in our annual report, and interim figures go to anyone who asks. If money moves, you see it.
- Privacy-first. No ads. No selling data. No third-party tracking. The app processes location data on-device only.
- Startup speed, charity soul. Every euro goes to mission delivery, not dividends.
- Open-source and open-data oriented. Methodology and code are public-facing where they don't compromise privacy.
What we are looking for
- Pilot partners — schools, fleet operators, environmental NGOs interested in field-validating our methodology.
- Co-funding to scale beyond Estonia and from one product to a portfolio aligned with our six aims.
- Volunteers and contributors — translators, designers, environmental specialists, lawyers, communicators.
